    SPORTS

    THE PROBLEM

Lacking Excitement, Lacking Spirit, Lacking Fans

    To Make Things Worse...

Little Media, Little Exposure, Little Accessibility

One and a half million Canadian students don't know what the score is, when the next big game is, or who just led them to a national championship.

Students are typically unable to assicate with their schools outside of academia, unaware of the sports, teams, athletes and programs around them. Current university sports media is segmented which makes it hard for universities to cover, market and promote their sports programs adequately. For the athlete, scholarships are highly conditional and the largest scholarships only cover tuition and mandatory fees.

Simply said, Canadian university sports are hitting a glass ceiling.

    THE SOLUTION

    EXCITEMENT - EXPOSURE - OPPORTUNITY

    Our Mission

The mission of the OTB Sports Network is to bring excitement, exposure and opportunity to university sports by providing coverage, marketing and promoting Canadian Inter-University Sport.

Good on paper. Good in action. The OTB Sports Network would bring results for our members & supporters:

    • Creating centralized media coverage for university sports and in turn allowing for corporate support through its new visibility.
    • Increasing school spirit, strengthening student allegiance and university & alumni donor relations through a memorable experience they'll want to give back to.
    • Creating new potential for Canadian university athletes in professional scouting, development and opportunity without having to head south of the border.

OTB will accomplish these goals by producing a cross-platform sports network including a weekly broadcast TV show and a 24/7 online news network.
